If you have blogging skills and would like to share your expertise in WordPress or web design/development, consider becoming a guest blogger on this website.
Successful guest blog articles will be comprehensive, action-oriented, how-to style posts that teach our readers about a particular aspect of content marketing, SEO, and copywriting.
How to submit
Please send your completed article with the form below. If your proposed article meets our editorial standards and aligns with our content strategy, we will respond to let you know when your article will be published.
Guest blogging requirements
Your article must:
- be well-written and of high quality.
- be submitted in .txt Markdown format (not Google Docs or Microsoft Word, which include hidden rogue formatting that can conflict with the website's style sheets).
- reflect the writing style and tone of the Cole Wiebe blog.
- avoid self/brand promotion of any kind within the article, although you can link to other articles and posts our readers may find extremely valuable, including an article on your blog.
- include a short 1 to 2 sentence bio, that may include a 1 anchor text link to your own website.
- include a photo author avatar 80×80 or larger.
- adhere to Google’s guidelines for guest blogging and their Webmaster Guidelines.
- include proper attribution of quotations, data or other third-party content referenced in your article. If you present a stat, back it up.
- include a PDF copy of the stock photo purchase invoice by which you secured the rights to use any photo(s) you include with your article, or the URL where a free use image was sourced so we can attribute the photographer, to avoid legal issues.
- be roughly 1,500 words in length, in keeping with Orbit Media's ranking findings.
- be free of plagiarism, confirmed by Copyscape; and we require your affirmation that that you will not publish the article you submit to us on your own blog, or anywhere else on the internet to avoid 'duplicate content' penalties.
- not use any of the soulless 'reads like a robot wrote it' text copied and pasted from Google Bard, ChatGPT, Jasper AI or any of the countless other AI content generators that digitally watermark their text, incurring potential Google and Bing penalties in the near future. Your article must pass the Originality AI Detector.
You are welcome to link to the article once it has been posted. In fact, the more you promote the post on your site and in social channels, the more likely we are to publish future articles from you.
If you’re interested in building the online authority of your brand and yourself is a writer, our blog could be a very good fit for you. Your post must deliver genuine value for our website and our audience. (Low value content hurts the relevancy of our website and its search engine positioning.)
If you’re a ‘content spammer’, who writes and distributes irrelevant ‘fluff’ articles, to pick up a fee for marketing/SEO backlinks placed, or to earn an affiliate commission, this is definitely not the site for you.
Most articles will be published as is, but we reserve the right to edit and adapt your guest blog content to better align with our style or message.
